Coffee Dreamer ws concieved during a hypercaffeinated fugue state brought about by the use of too much cheap restaurant coffee the night Ronald Reagan was re-elected in 1984. After intensive psychotherapy and years of counseling, the author managed to sketch out his vision in pen and ink with its simple narration. What appears on the surface to be a short and simple love story about a man and his coffee is really the graphic climax to an obsessive quest for ultimate truth at the bottom of the encless cup. The drawings contained in Coffee Dreamer were spontaneous, one shot affairs drawn at various sites. Some sites had heat and electricity. Some did not.
